Joe Wilson a congressman from South Carolina, basically unknown by most until he hailed the famous words “YOU LIE” during President O’bama’s speech to Congress, and House Democratic leaders. It is said that the shout-out was "spontaneous." If the congressman action was not spontaneous then it would be premeditated.
Are we to think that Mr. Wilson arose that morning and said to himself, I am going to shout out “YOU LIE” during President O’bama’s address? Did the Congressman simply come to the meeting over come with anger that the health bill does not show detailed prohibitions enforcing the no-illegals rule? When President Obama stated that no illegals would get health care he reacted to his emotions.
Congressman Wilson is quoted as saying: "This evening I let my emotions get the best of me,” . This type of behavior seems to provide evidence that politicians are capable of reacting to emotions the same as other humans. I am certain that other governing officials listening to the president’s speech shared the same concerns about the bill, but did not react. Although Congressman Wilson felt that the president was speaking something that was untrue, he’s expected to reframe from any type of offensive behavior. The type of outburst is viewed as a breach of protocol on congressional etiquette.
If you consider the queen of England, at no time would it be proper to yell at her, but yelling at the prime minister is viewed differently. In the United States The highest governing official comfortable to a queen’s would considerably be the president. Should anyone ever disagree with the president, absolutely but in the right place, at the right time?
Congressman Wilson undoubtedly has relevant issues with the Health Care Bill and his voice should be heard within the boundaries of the congressional guidelines. Clearly, the inappropriate action of the congressman has been an un-welcome distraction from the health care reform bill.
